Rebecca Black’s “Friday” is caught up in a legal battle which has gotten it pulled from YouTube and Vevo. There is a question as to who actually owns the master recording of the song. My guess is that it’s some pedophile.
There are still a lot of articles about Lady Gaga. Seriously, people, she is awful. Lady Gaga fans are the worst.
“The Green Lantern” made $53 million. I wonder if it has effected the sales of actual lanterns.
“The Hangover II” is now the highest grossing Rated-R comedy of all time. That’s a lot of qualifiers.
“Jackass” star Ryan Dunn died in a car accident. He was drunk, of course.
Comedy Central has canceled Norm Macdonald’s sport show. Fuck them, that show was great.
Spider-Man is going to die in “Ultimate Spider-Man.” Which basically means nothing, not only in the grand scheme of things, but in comic books.
There is talks of a “Wet Hot American Summer” sequel/prequel.
Ron Howard is going to direct a live action version of “Spy vs. Spy” for some reason. Money maybe?
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant will be bringing a new comedy to HBO called “Life’s Too Short,” which will star Warwick Davis.
Movies Out Today
Cars 2 - I have heard this is not all too good, unfortunately. Though, the reviews may have been negative only to use the phrase “Cars 2 is stuck in neutral.” I’m pretty sure that you could do much worse, as far as movies for kids go. If you’re really into talking cars, then this is definitely a movie you will not want to miss.
Bad Teaches - This is an updated, gender reversed version of “The Substitute.” Cameron Diaz plays the Tom Berenger role. Is “The Substitute” a movie ripe for the remake? I would have to say no, but I say “no” to pretty much every movie that’s coming out. I still want to see “Bridesmaids,” but that is seeming more unlikely every day. Fans of “The Substitute” will really dig this.
Other Thoughts
I watched a terrible movie (Demons) and a great movie (Rio Bravo) this week.
Pretty bad news this week--Norm got canceled. I blame everybody who didn’t watch it, naturally. I did! Although, I downloaded it since I don’t have cable. Great show.
If you downloaded it then you didn't truly watch it on TV for ratings purposes and THAT'S why it got canceled!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI TAKE ISSUE WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF BAD TEACHER AS A REMAKE OF THE SUBSTITUTE. THE ORIGINAL SUBSTITUTE FILM WAS GREAT!
I had the soundtrack to The Substitute on cassette! Rio looks great, William. is so funny!!
